Charity Art Benefit
The photographic art show IN SHIVA’S SHADOWS conceived by German native, Raphael Rapior incorporates a social formula into its business model by giving back to the neediest in India who inspired his work. Fifty percent of the proceeds will be donated to the German arm of SOS Children Village (SOS Kinderdörfer), a non-profit organization committed to the welfare of orphaned and abandoned children and to strengthening families and communities as a preventive measure in the fight against child abandonment and social neglect. At present SOS-India reaches out to more than 17,000 children and their families through preventive and curative programs. It is being implemented at 33 locations in 22 states throughout India and is supported by local partners and communities. This professional initiative, MAKE A CHANGE encourages artists from developed countries who document developing communities to share equally in any financial gain as an economic component for social transformation. “Due to my privileged status simply by being born in a particular region of the planet, I want to use my gifts and skills to make and inspire a change in the world.” - Raphael Rapior
